We tested Rokosan on tomatoes and cucumbers – the results pleasantly surprised us!
Every gardener desires tasty, healthy, and abundant fruits. Last year, we tested Rokosan amino acid fertilizers in the cultivation of tomatoes and cucumbers, two staples of Slovak gardens. Our goal was to find out whether our fertilizers could match conventional ones – and the results truly pleasantly surprised us.
How did the greenhouse test proceed?
The test was conducted in a medium-sized greenhouse over 10 weeks.
Each crop was planted with substrate and irrigated using the same system.
Plants were divided into two groups:
• Group A: fertilized with Rokosan products
• Group B: fertilized with conventional NPK fertilizer
Rokosan products used:
Rokoaktiv – used for seed treatment, supports germination and early root development
Rokolan – basic fertilizer applied to substrate before planting, supports growth and rooting
Rokohumín – applied every two weeks as a watering solution, contains amino acids, humic acids, NPK, and micronutrients
Observed differences during growth:
✔️ After 4 weeks
• Plants fertilized with Rokosan were visibly greener, with stronger stems and earlier flowering
• Average plant height was 18% higher than the control
✔️ After 8–10 weeks
• Tomatoes ripened 5–6 days earlier
• Fruits were larger, more aromatic, and tastier
• Cucumbers had thicker skin, crunchier texture, and smaller core

Growers' observations from the greenhouse:
• Fertilizers were easily applied via drip irrigation and spraying
• Plants were more vital and resistant
• Substrate retained moisture longer after watering
Conclusion: Rokosan works excellently in the greenhouse
